The day will be filled with buttercream, buttercream and more buttercream. We have Chef Hallman from Walters State demonstrating French, Italian, and German Buttercream. Four of her culinary students will be giving a short lecture on sanitation, nutrition, and the program at Walters State. The students will also prepare cake so we can sample all of the different buttercream icings.

Jimmy Czermak, owner of Sugarbakers in Florence, Alabama, will be demonstrating quick tricks, quick smoothing, and quick decorating. Jimmy has been in the cake business 18 years.

And our very own Mary Jo Manis and Laura Grater will be showing us the Wilton way of making buttercream and royal icing flowers.

Mark your calendars for spring 2010 Day of Sharing, March 21st. One of our demonstrators will be the ICES Founder, Betty Jo Steinman. We will also have Bob Johnson from Alabama with us for the day.

In the Fall of 2010, we will have Bronwen Weber. She will demonstrate at the Day of Sharing, and offer classes on Monday and Tuesday following the day of sharing. Look for more information on both of these meetings soon.
